If you’re looking for tickets to Rock’n'Register, ask your favorite band. Most of the bands have tickets available. The best part is, the tickets will only cost you six dollars if you buy from one of the bands! If you come to the show without a ticket, it’ll cost you eight.
Eight bands for six buck, how can you go wrong?
Tickets are also available through Sidetracked Productions, so contact them if you don’t have easy access to one of the bands!
We look forward to seeing you at the show!
This morning we received an e-mail from the moderators at youthsoundoff.org, the sponsor site who hosted the primaryvoting to determine the 8 bands to play Rock’n'Register and here’s the official line-up:
Check back here often for updates and information on ticket pre-sales.
We’d like to thank everyone for voting in the primary election to help us determine the line-up for Rock’n'Register as well as thank all of the bands who submitted and participated.
The polling closed at midnight last night(any votes past midnight will be deleted) and youthsoundoff.org is validating the votes against fraud before providing us with the final results. We hope to have the results posted here Saturday, July 5th!
Enjoy the holidays and check back for some good news!
Thank you for stopping by Rock’n'Register.com, especially if you’re here to help us decide which 8 bands will perform in our September 13th event at Harford Community College!
We have narrowed the field to 14 bands. Vote for your favorite HERE!
You will need to register for a free account with our sponsor, youthsoundoff.org.
If you haven’t had a chance to listen to the bands, here they are:
The “top bands” have been selected, and most are displayed below with a promo shot & song of their choosing. Take the opportunity to listen to the bands, and decide which one is your favorite. Read below the media player for information on how and when to vote.
Voting will be held on one of our sponsor website, www.youthsoundoff.org. It’s a great site if you’re interested in political discussion.
If you want to vote for your favorite band, you must go to youthsoundoff.org and register for a free account. They send you a confirmation e-mail, so make sure you check your spam mail if you don’t get it right away!
The voting will begin on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 and run through Tuesday, July 1, 2008. One week to vote, then we’ll know who’s playing Rock’n'Register.
Spread the word, feel free to “campaign” for your favorite band on myspace, facebook, etc. Encourage friends and family to vote, but please–be honest and fair. Only vote once!
Good luck to all the bands! We can’t wait for the show.
Through a grueling process we have narrowed the field of bands to a slim number and will soon leave it up to you, the public to vote on your favorite band, which will help us choose the 8 bands to officially invite to the September 13 event!
We are currently compiling a sample song from each band that we have selected and will display them on this page starting Wednesday June 18, 2008 for you to take an opportunity to listen to, and spread the word.
Then, with help of a sponsor site YouthSoundOff.org, we will begin the voting process for the top 8 bands on Wednesday, June 25, 2008. The voting will run for ONE WEEK ONLY!.
If you’d like a sneek peek at some of the bands, click the bands tab up top!
We also urge you to hop over to Youthsoundoff and pre-register with a free account*. Registration is free, and must be verified with a legitimate e-mail address before you will be allowed to vote.
Note: YouthSoundOff guarantees us that their system is cheatable, but any cheating is easily detectable. They will advise us of any cheating that occurs, and it could subject a band to being disqualified from entry to the contest, so don’t try it, please.
*If this whole process is starting to seem like a regular election–first you register, then you vote in the primary, then the general election then you’re starting to catch on ![]()
We have decided that all “profitable” proceeds from Rock’n'Register will be donated directly to a local, Harford County Non Profit Organization. We’ve put together 5 possible organizations to receive the proceeds.
Due to numerous fraudulent posts on the online poll, we will change the voting structure to a live, in person vote at the Rock’n'Register event on September 13, 2008.
We figure that the best way to encourage people to vote is to show them how voting makes a real difference in their society.
We are contacting the various Non-Profit Organizations from Harford County to determine which would also like to be involved in pre-selling tickets to the event when they become available. We will post the list by time that the tickets are available.
By all means, please continue to comment below in support of the organization you would prefer to see benefit from the event.
Official Rock’n'Register Update:

Rock’n'Register will feature 8 bands(TBA) from throughout Maryland in an effort to promote voter registration, awareness and voter turnout among Maryland, and more specifically Harford Countians.
Hope to see you all there. For more information or to volunteer, please click above!
Here is the first of several Promotional items for Rock’n'Register.

Plaster this wherever you can to get people’s interest peaked about the event. It’s intentionally vague, more to come in future promo releases.
Enjoy!
